how it works

When you imagine being a foster parent, you probably think about the sense of family it will bring. The laughter and close bond between you and your new family member, the connection you develop.

Fostering in Bridgend is based around a hard-working network of locally based foster experts, offering you guidance whenever you need it. So, as well as that close-knit bond you’ll also have a much wider circle of connections around you, and all the support you could possibly need.

better together

Our team at Foster Wales Bridgend work closely with every foster parent and child, supporting them throughout their journey at every step.

We’re fully equipped to offer an unbeatable level of support as we’re part of a collaborative effort at Foster Wales. After all, we are the national network of 22 Local Authority fostering services throughout Wales.

With social workers, therapists and experienced professionals on hand every day, we work together to better the future of every child in our care.

Our not-for-profit status also means we can focus everything back into the heart of the community – all the funding we receive goes towards further improving the service we provide, and that’s exactly as it should be.

Our team in Bridgend will always be in contact within one working day after you make an enquiry, and aim to complete your initial visit and pre- assessment screening within 5 working days, making the whole process quick and easy.
